Kevin D. Rahman, P.E. is the General Manager of the Sausalito-Marin City Sanitary District and a California licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer with more than 30 years of engineering and utility leadership experience.

Kevin joined the District in 2007 and has served as Assistant Engineer, Associate Engineer, and District Engineer before becoming General Manager in July 2026. Throughout his tenure, he has played a key leadership role in transforming the District's wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment systems through strategic planning, infrastructure rehabilitation, and capital project delivery.

Over the past 18 years, Kevin has overseen the rehabilitation of nearly every District pump station, directed improvements to the collection system, managed completion of the District's major wastewater treatment plant upgrade, and led numerous projects that have strengthened system reliability, regulatory compliance, and long-term operational sustainability. He also played an instrumental role in helping the District achieve the removal of its EPA compliance order.

Before joining the District, Kevin spent ten years with Pacific Gas and Electric Company as a Planning Engineer, where he specialized in utility planning, forecasting, system reliability, and capital improvements. He began his engineering career with Bechtel Corporation, working on major industrial and infrastructure projects.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Sacramento, is a member of Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Honor Society, and maintains California Professional Engineer License. He is committed to collaborative leadership, operational excellence, mentoring staff, and providing reliable, environmentally responsible wastewater services to the communities served by the District.
