Major Treatment Plant Upgrade Complete. Will Protect Our Community and the Bay Environment. Upgrades Will Provide Benefits for Decades to Come
Fitch Ratings has increased Sausalito-Marin City Sanitary District’s credit rating to AA, or “very high credit quality.” The upgraded rating also applies to the $31.1 million in revenue bonds issued by the District and held by the Marin Public Financing Authority
The District maintains emergency backup power at six critical pumping stations and at the main treatment plant, to ensure uninterrupted sewer service even during widespread power outages

Sausalito-Marin City Sanitary District (SMCSD) currently operates and maintains the City of Sausalito’s four sewer pump stations on a contract basis.
